Full chest day at the gym today. Bench press, incline dumbbell press, cable flyes — the fundamentals done right. No fancy machines, no gimmicks. Just iron and consistency.
I have been running a push/pull/legs split for the past few months and the chest sessions are where I feel the most progress. At 227lbs (down from 272), every rep feels different now. Lighter body, stronger lifts. That is what happens when you drop 45 pounds of dead weight and keep showing up.
The Workout
- Flat Bench Press: 4 sets x 6-8 reps — focus on controlled negatives
- Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets x 10 reps — hitting the upper chest
- Cable Flyes: 3 sets x 12-15 reps — squeeze at the top
- Dips: 3 sets to failure — bodyweight finisher
Nothing complicated. Progressive overload, good form, and showing up consistently. That is the secret nobody wants to hear because it is not sexy enough to sell.
Gear Check
Been wearing Uncertn gym gear during my sessions lately. Their training tees and joggers fit right — made for guys who actually lift, not models. Breathable fabric, good stretch, and they do not look like you are trying too hard. If you want to check them out, use code OLDBOB for 15% off.
